Interconnection is key

Whether you’re an individual or an organisation, through our membership and consultancy you can develop an interconnected understanding of human, animal and planetary wellbeing.

Why? Because understanding interconnection is the key if you want to make a real difference in the world. Without it, you'll end up frustrated, uncertain and believing that things will never change.

An interconnected approach to wellbeing is your map for overcoming problems and finding opportunities so that you can take action to improve a life today.

Benefits of an interconnected approach to wellbeing

Connect and create

We are stronger together. When we feel connected, respected, and cared for we are able to create positive change for all through meaningful collaboration. When we unite from a culture of care and respect, people, animals and the planet can flourish.

Take care and give care

No one really shows you how to care of yourself. You're told you need to, but where do you start? Understanding the importance of taking care, how do to so, and how it protects the wellbeing of all is key if we want to feel good while doing good.

Problem solve

Do you want to be part of the problem or the solution? Approaching problems systemically makes it easier to see solutions and overcome challenges by addressing root causes. Goodbye uncertainty and frustration, hello clarity and confidence.

Take action

Having more information and knowledge is great - but it only creates change if you put it into action. The benefit of an interconnected approach is that you'll know how to approach a challenge, even if it's unfamiliar. Then you have a road map for actual action.

Our purpose is to promote a culture of care and respect so that the wellbeing of all can flourish

Who do we work with?

In a nutshell, we work where humans and animals are. We collaborate with individuals and organisations around the world to provide accessible learning opportunities that promote optimal care for animals and the people who care for them.

We collaborate with individuals of any profession, experience, qualification or job role. Whether you're a student, caregiver, vet, manager, or something else, we think it's crucial that you have an opportunity to learn, share, collaborate and contribute. The INTERBEING platforms exist for this reason.

Afterall, we all have knowledge to share, stories to tell, questions to ask and problems to solve - so a friendly space to do this seemed like a pretty good idea.

We collaborate with zoos, aquariums, sanctuaries, wildlife centres, universities, research facilities, companion, and farm animal organisations in support of our collective goals for optimal wellbeing, conservation, engagement, and research.

It doesn't matter if you’re a small team or a huge organisation we can support you with any aspect of animal, human and planetary wellbeing. Whether it's assessments, audits, programs, policies, designs or staff morale, through an interconnected approach you can overcome complex challenges, improve collaboration and support optimal wellbeing for all.

Who are we?

We're a small team of six people trying to make positive change in the world. What kind of change?

When it comes to talking about people, animals and the planet, you'll find a lot of technical terms, lofty goals and crazy long to-do lists that never get done.

We want to introduce new language and a fresh approach so that together we can take action in a way that matters for each individual animal and person - whilst protecting the planet we share.

Our approach is underpinned by evidence-based science and research, but we also want to introduce compassion and care into a world that is too often focused on the measurable over the meaningful.

"The platforms have allowed me to develop beyond my degree, acquiring skills and knowledge that I know will benefit the animals in my care in the future."

Darren Minier

Assistant Director, Oakland Zoo

"The world wide platform you provide brings us together in ways most other organizations don't, or can’t. What AnimalConcepts does is so important."

Prof. Hannah Buchanan-Smith

"Sabrina will inspire and help you find evidence-based approaches to create conditions that allow you and your animals to thrive."

Community and collaboration creates change

We have empowered thousands of professionals through our online learning platforms and by running over 350 global events in 42 countries across 6 continents.

Together we can create change by improving wellbeing for ourselves, the animals we care for, the people we work with, and the planet we share.
